Founder
Tomi is the founder, designer and developer behind Smiling Bard. A product designer with ten years of experience, he started the company because good education can't happen without teachers, and he wanted to back them. He leads the product from first idea to finished pixel, shaped by teacher feedback every step of the way.
Education
Liberty has spent over 10 years in the education space, starting her career in the classroom and spanning across policy, strategy, programme delivery and advisory since. She has the vantage point of understanding the sector from many angles, knowing not only what teachers need but also how the system can support them.
Communications
Spencer leads marketing and communications at Smiling Bard, helping schools and teachers understand how its technology can support their work. Spencer brings experience in strategy, branding, digital marketing and making complex ideas clear. His focus is building trust in tools that give teachers more time to teach.

Jonathan is Chair of Smiling Bard, guiding the company as it grows. As founder and former CEO of Datix, he built a patient safety software business serving over 550 clients worldwide. Healthcare and education both depend on people who serve the public, and Jonathan knows how to build technology that backs them.
Board advisor
Flora is a Board Advisor to Smiling Bard with over a decade of experience growing education and EdTech teams, including sales and enrolment at 2U and Chegg. She advises on go-to-market, partnerships and growth, and cares about using technology and AI to lift admin off educators so they can get back to teaching.
